I've created both realistic and abstract paintings, but I have lingered on my preference: expressionism. In this style, I can make places and time say what I feel. I use pure colors, seldom mixed with white or black. The true pigments give me the bold, graphic contrasts in my linear architectural scenes. Composition, color and contrast reallly sum up the way I approach my paintings, with my emotional response mingled in. Some of my work is contemplative and peaceful, while others stimulate thoughts on the human condition. The spaces within all my paintings are just on the edge of our reality.
