LJAA 2010 Calendar has been printed and ready for purchase. All 43 submitted images have beeen accepted and will be printed in the calendar. The juror chose
one large image and two or three smaller images for each month (large images are shown first for each month below).
Congratulations to all who submitted their artworks!
Madeline Logan-Davis designed the calendar front and back covers pages. All 43 images are on the front cover as a collage with the LJAA logo. The back cover displays the image of the LJAA Gallery and names of all current LJAA members listed in alphabetical order. 1000 copies of the calendar have been printed, and on August 30, 2009, 9am to 6pm we had a "Calendar Day" at the LJAA gallery where members received several copies for broad distribution (we set the goal for each member to sell at least 10 calendars before December 31, 2009). The calendars is priced at $11.00 (which includes tax). Our goal is to distribute all 1000 calendars among members, collectors, businesses and community at large. We expect that this action will increase the visibility of our organization and also provide an additional source of revenue. If you want to purchase or help distribute the calendar, please stop by at the LJAA Gallery during its business hours or contact Gayla Edwards at funds@lajollart.org or Madeline Logan-Davis at madelinelogan-davis@msn.com. The calendars are also available for secure online purchase using Paypal or a credit card. |
| Wendy L. Wilson, BFA, Executive Director of the Escondido Municipal Gallery and Escondido Arts Partnership the non-profit arts agency for the city of Escondido. Established artist and collector in the San Diego area; Wendy writes critiques, biographies and media releases for artists. Wendy enjoys all mediums of art, her background is in multimedia installation and art theory. She has been recognized in the past 10 years for her work in pencil, watercolor and enamel. |
